Stephen, I think these are wonderful - what a great way to "free up" and remind ourselves of the great masters. Looking at a Raphael virgin in this way means I "see" her again. To actually put a big splodge of paint or a torn bit of a letter against one of these images is strangely both disrespectful and at the same time, respectful. I don't know how I missed this blog but I'll be back.
